A question was asked by a Folkie where to get lunch in a music venue, while listening to the music.
Logically not all events would be appropriate, but the Black Book Cafe and the Ale House serve food.
We have a year to figure where it would best inform people – on the website!
Concerts, sessions, workshops and dance sides for 2017 are now updated. Use the menus for more details.

The countdown begins
Stroud Folk Weekend is an event consisting mainly of pub sessions, singarounds of mainly traditional music and morris dancing in the streets.
We do not hire performers.
SFW is more about people getting together and making music, singing songs and dancing rather than on formal concerts.
We do act as an umbrella for other activities taking place during our weekend that are organized by others.
The Stroud Subscription Rooms and Lansdown Hall have held concerts in conjunction with out weekend and some of the pubs and Cafes such as The Ale House and Cafe Meme have done so as well. Performers seeking paid gigs should contact those venues directly.
Stroud Folk Weekend will soon hit the town with morris dancing, sessions and concerts.
